This show was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. This is a tribute, a love letter.
Part non-fiction travel, part nature writing, part musings and reflections. At the heart of it, it’s a record of a series of meanderings on the road and of the mind during my almost 3-month road trip across the US. And it’s a book, a travelogue.
Just got back from our family weekend trip to Big Bear, CA for some first-time skiing! It was a much needed time for relaxation, and adventure.
New York in color-patches and light. And a much needed reminder to be cheerful, to enjoy the moment.
Like all great stories, it’s a tale about love and loss and death and life. And history and quantum mechanics and time. And not-knowing. It’s a tale for the time being.
There’s something about poetic writings that’s starting to strike me. When did it start? I’m really surprising myself now – first, writing, now poetry?
The Canadian travel show “departures,” and the book “Vagabonding” ruined me. In the best possible way. Now I dream of long-term travel.
Early Retirement. That’s it. That’s the goal. Why? – Freedom, Time, Possibility.
This book is a grounded narrative of the natural world, tied to philosophical, metaphysical insights. It’s a metaphysical nature book, a theodicy. And I love every page of it.
